Summary
A Sikorsky S-92A at Scatsta Airport became airborne when the commander inadvertently raised the collective instead of applying the parking brake. Releasing the lever allowed the trim system to lower it, producing a hard landing and structural damage. The operator subsequently reinforced positive flight-control handover procedures.
