Summary
BSEE investigates the loss of approximately 3,107 feet of casing from Noble Jim Day during drilling at Walker Ridge 508. Strong loop currents complicated dynamic positioning before a running-tool mandrel fractured. Testing found no material anomalies; the report attributes failure to casing weight and current loading. ROV checks found no infrastructure damage.
