Summary

Offshore platform personnel suffered carbon monoxide poisoning after natural gas engine fumes entered temporary accommodation through ventilation openings, principally the air conditioning fresh air inlet. The alert recommends reviewing accommodation placement relative to engine exhausts, installing carbon monoxide detectors, inspecting potential exhaust entry points and checking exhaust vent wind flaps.
