Summary

During temporary well abandonment, a corroded electric line parted while positioning a bridge plug assembly, which fell and struck a worker’s foot. The alert examines corrosion-related overload fractures, an unassessed lifting hazard and missing maintenance records, recommending wireline procedures, inspection and maintenance records, and effective implementation of job safety analysis controls.
