Summary
HSE warns that unsuitable lubricants can impair high- and low-voltage circuit breaker mechanisms. An investigated failure may have involved lubricant-related stiction. The notice calls for maintenance procedures to follow manufacturers’ instructions, distinguishing cleaning products from lubricants and selecting compatible products at appropriate intervals.
