Summary
A floor hand being hoisted up a rig mast during cementing suffered a spinal compression fracture. A swivel snagged beneath the casing stabbing basket unnoticed while lifting continued. Its release threw him upwards before he dropped approximately three feet into hoist-line slack and was jerked by the cable.
