Summary
During a jackup rig’s wet tow, waves driven up the hull dislodged deck grating immediately outside a living-quarters exit. The grating formed part of a platform directly over water, more than 20 ft above the rig’s floating draft. Recorded significant wave height was 8–10 ft.
