Summary
Research evaluates 35 offshore petroleum environmental statements submitted during 2002–2005 using a modified Lee & Colley review package, alongside interviews and document scrutiny. It examines non-pollution effects, alternatives and mitigation, finding weaknesses in impact prediction, monitoring and residual-impact coverage, and reviews BERR’s assessment procedures.
