Summary
BSEE investigates a casing rupture during abandonment remediation at Ship Shoal Block 114. Liftboat cranes and a hydraulic Vibro Hammer were used to straighten a damaged well. An estimated 56 gallons of hydrocarbons escaped into the Gulf of Mexico. The report describes personnel mustering, subsequent well stabilisation and installation of a pollution dome.
