Summary
BSEE investigates an underground well-control incident during completion fluid displacement aboard Seadrill West Neptune. Unintentional shearing of fluid loss control devices led to cross-flow between completed intervals. The report examines procedural detail, communication and supervision failures, and describes fluid loss pills, shut-in operations, the driller’s method and bullheading used to regain control.
