Summary
A stabbing board dropped 8–10 feet when its lifting cable parted during lowering. A floorhand’s retracting lifeline arrested his fall, although the descending framework struck him. The assistant driller, whose harness lanyard was attached to the board, fell with it and fractured an ankle.
