Summary
An alert describes a hand injection injury during replacement of fittings on a blue bypass valve at approximately 5000 psi. The worker attempted to depressurise high-pressure stainless-steel tubing by loosening a 3/8 inch compression fitting while holding it with a rag. Released BOP fluid and rag particles entered the hand.
