Summary
During bridle assembly rig-down, a driller lowered the blocks and bridle equaliser towards the rig floor. The drilling line’s dog knot pulled from the drum, allowing an approximately 20-foot (6-metre) free fall. It then caught in braces and the fast line sheave, limiting the fall. No injuries were reported.
