Summary
An uncontrolled crane block struck upper pedestal walkway grating while gas racks were being moved. After parking the crane, the operator inspected the walkway and stepped onto grating that flipped and fell to the main deck. He grabbed the structure but fell onto a staircase, fracturing his left leg.
