Summary
A diver became buried in sand during underwater sheet pile removal at an abandoned quay. Rescue attempts using a caviblaster failed; crane recovery damaged his harness and disrupted breathing supplies. He was subsequently lifted clear, resuscitated and hospitalised. Initial conditional findings discuss recovery arrangements, communication difficulties and access to medical information.
