Summary
This interim investigation examines explosions and fire aboard Stolt Groenland at Ulsan. Initial findings link probable tank rupture and vapour ignition to over-pressurisation during styrene monomer polymerisation. It describes inhibitor dosing, cargo conditions, firefighting and evacuation, alongside a separate Stolt Focus incident and reminders on monitoring and carriage instructions.
