Summary
Investigation synopsis of a galley fire aboard Be Ready while trawling in January 2000. A drying cloth above the cooker was considered the likely ignition source. The fire door remained open, and both launched liferafts became entangled with trawl wires. Another fishing vessel supplied a liferaft, enabling helicopter evacuation of all five crew.
