Summary
Investigates the fire aboard Ardent II while alongside in Peterhead, after which the vessel became a constructive total loss. A multi-socket adapter fault or failure was the most likely cause. Three crew escaped. Analysis examines missing mess-room smoke detection, fire containment, electrical inspection and testing, and emergency access for crews living aboard.
