Summary
This investigation examines a fire in a boxed electric motor on the Gunnison production deck below a barbecue and smoking area. A cigarette or charcoal ember was identified as the probable ignition source. Crew used an ABC extinguisher and then a hose; subsequent measures included plating beneath cigarette cans.
