Summary
This investigation examines a platform fire involving corroded, insulated fuel-gas piping and an apparently faulty heat-trace junction box. Emergency shutdown removed power from a temporary firewater pump that lacked an emergency-bus connection. The report documents firefighting and mustering, and recommends piping inspections, suitable circuit protection and standardised temporary-generator arrangements.
