Summary
Investigation of a platform generator-room fire on 13 October 2006. Investigators believed a battery lead had rubbed against a diesel fuel line, with arcing sparks causing a battery explosion. Released diesel sustained the fire, extinguished using handheld and wheeled units. The district recommended an alert on separating battery cables from fuel lines.
