Summary
A smoke marker on a vessel ignited and burst during a service-date check, causing burns, lacerations and bruising. Protective clothing and glasses reduced injury severity. The cause remained undetermined. Personnel were instructed not to lean over or on the equipment and to wear full PPE, including a visor over safety glasses.
