Summary
Investigation of Maersk Kendal’s grounding on Monggok Sebarok reef in the Singapore Strait. It examines lost positional awareness, bridge teamwork, ECDIS configuration, unused ARPA trial manoeuvres, misunderstood engine controls and VTIS communications. Emergency checklist use and voyage data preservation are also analysed. No injuries or pollution resulted.
