Summary
Investigation of a storeroom fire on the Noble Tom Jobe rig. A metal securing wire cut into a 480-volt cable through vibration, producing arcing that ignited oil-soaked air filters and other supplies. Water firefighting, electrical shutdown and evacuation followed; one firefighter slipped and injured his knee.
