Summary
Two hydraulic hoses on a vessel crane ruptured on successive days, spilling oil onto the deck and, in the first event, into the sea. Water accumulation around fittings caused deterioration concealed by Denso tape. The member replaced corroded hoses and required tape removal during future inspections.
